Appreciation Luncheon for Professional Coaches from Pacific Early Childhood Education Research Association – Hong Kong

Thanks to the invaluable training by the experienced coach team from Pacific Early Childhood Education Research Association – Hong Kong, the first stage of on-site coaching and assessment to KeySteps schools has been completed.

There was pleasurable sharing among the coaches on the appreciation luncheon:

“I am pleased with the positivity shown by the seed teachers towards the coaching, they are willing to alter their daily teaching practices not for achieving better assessment score, but for better learning of their students.”

“On-site coaching helps teachers to understand and apply the learned knowledge better to their daily works, and more importantly it allows teaching by example, coaches can share their belief and positivity, making the teachers believe that they have to ability to change.”

“Glad to see that some participating schools took a very positive approach to this coaching program. Though the on-site coaching only targeted a few seed teachers, schools actively organized in-school sharing sessions to spread the learning to other teachers.”

“Teaching benefits teachers as well as students, through this coaching program we experienced coaches also learnt a lot from participating schools about the current kindergarten practices.”
