Mr HO Hei-wah

Ho Hei-wah is a veteran social activist who actively concerns about the rights of the underprivileged communities in Hong Kong. Over the past 40 years, he has been continuously advocating for better social policies on housing, anti-poverty and other policies in relation to the improvements of the grassroots’ livelihood, including boat people, cagehome lodgers, single-living elderly, new immigrants from the mainland China, street-sleepers, children and family in poverty, patients with medical accidents as well as victims of human right violation.

Ho joined the Society for Community Organization (SoCO) as Community Organizer since 1981 and becomes the Director of SoCO since 1988. He is currently the member of the Task Force on Land Supply and former member of the Commission on Poverty of the Hong Kong SAR Government.
